Supplies needed

• 1 sheet of colored paper
• A pair of child-safe scissors
• Glue
• Crayons or markers
• 2 pipe cleaners (or strips of paper for antennae)
• Googly eyes (optional)

Step by step instructions

Step 1: Fold the colored paper in half.
Step 2: Draw half of a butterfly shape along the folded edge.
Step 3: Carefully cut along the outline and unfold the paper to reveal your butterfly.
Step 4: Decorate the wings with colorful patterns, dots, hearts, or stripes using crayons or markers.
Step 5: Glue the pipe cleaners (or paper strips) to the top of the butterfly to make antennae.
Step 6: Add googly eyes or draw a smiling face in the middle.
Step 7: Let the glue dry, then gently flap the wings and show off your beautiful butterfly!
